# [Plugin: CDN Sync Tool] CSS and js comrpession

 * I started using CDN Sync Tools at about version 0.7 where I did the upload to
   Amazon S3. Running latest now. I think maybe CDN Sync Tools has or had a problem
   with compressing CSS files onto CDN…my site doesn’t come up correctly in Safari.
   I think its because Safari doesn’t understand .gz files.
 * Is there a way to turn off this compression or have it make the extension .gzip
   instead (which apparently Safari understands)?

 * The development version is now just using css as the file extension. And having
   an option for compression on or off will be added tomorrow.
