 * We have auto updates installed and randomly started seeing this message on my
   site. I can’t even login to admin to deactive the plugin. Help!

 * The plugin isn’t crashing your site. You have errors set to display on your site,
   and that is something you shouldn’t do. You can look at something like [https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG](https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG)
   to disable that.
 * What version of PHP are you running?

 * When you Google this same issue it appears to be a bigger problem across numerous
   sites:

 * [@johnny5](https://wordpress.org/support/users/johnny5/) I’ve turned WP_DEBUG
   to false. Now I’m getting too many redirection error when trying to access the
   site. The admin login screen shows but won’t let me login.
 * PHP version is 5.6

 * Your site appears to be working fine, and the plugin is not preventing your from
   logging in unless you have configured it to do so. What URL are you having a
   problem with?

 * Here’s the error I’m getting when trying to login to the admin “ERROR: An error
   was encountered while trying to authenticate. Please try again.” I’ve never had
   that before.
 * And if you go to any page except the homepage it displays incorrectly as well–

 * I have released 4.9.2 which will fix the warning with PHP 5.6. It is highly advised
   that you update your PHP to a newer version as 5.6 is no longer supported and
   could open you to performance and security issues.
 * That URL is working fine for me. You should clear your browser cache.
