Plugin causing huge slow down

    I’ve been working on a clients site which has this plugin installed, but not currently in use. I migrated to a new server as part of the work I’m doing and pinpointed this plugin as causing a huge backend slowdown on both servers.

    Is this a known issue? Could I get some help understanding what could be causing this ~10sec lag please?

    Hello there,

    Thanks for reaching out. Did you try to run a conflict test disabling all the other plugins and reverting your theme to a default one like Storefront?

    If that doesn’t identify the root cause for you, please send us a copy of your site’s System Status so we can take a better look. You can find it by going to “WooCommerce” > “Status”, clicking “Get system report”, and “Copy for support”. Once you have it, just paste it here in your reply.

    10 seconds would be great, my site was as much as double that – I deactivated Stripe and let PayPal do the work – site sped up instantly.

    Thanks for following up and sharing more context. Slow performance like that can definitely be frustrating, and we’re here to help get to the bottom of it.

    To move forward with troubleshooting, could you please share your System Status Report with us? You can get this from WooCommerce > Status > Get system report, then paste it into https://quickforget.com or https://pastebin.com and send the link here.

    Also, when you get a chance, please check for any recent entries in your WooCommerce logs (while the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin is activated) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs, particularly for fatal errors or plugin-related issues. You can share any relevant logs the same way using QuickForget or Pastebin.

    If possible, setting up a staging site where the issue can be tested safely without affecting your live store would also help. Once that’s ready, we can dig deeper into the performance issue together.

    Ahh. To be honest I have since removed the plugin altogether and am letting PayPal process the CC paments. The insane wait-time a page to load was costing money and customers.
