    Hello,

    Thank you for a wonderful plugin and such amazing and prompt responses. Impressive!

    The plugin used to work fine, but it’s repeatedly causing this error:

    [26-Oct-2014 09:00:24 UTC] WordPress database error Duplicate entry ‘2014-10-26-10.1.126.230’ for key ‘date_ip’ for query INSERT INTO ...._statistics_visitor (last_counter,referred,agent,platform,version,ip,location,UAString) VALUES (‘2014-10-26′,’…../wp-admin/admin.php?page=wsal-auditlog’,’Firefox’,’Macintosh’,’32.0′,’10.1.126.230′,’000′,”) made by shutdown_action_hook, do_action(‘shutdown’), call_user_func_array, wp_statistics_shutdown_action, Hits->Visitors

    In addition to this error, it’s causing problems with fetching instagram’s feed to the main page. Any ideas how it can be fixed?

    Thank you very much,
    Sebah

    The duplicate key is expected behaviour, if two page hits from a single client happen at almost the exact same time it will generate the error (it should really be a warning but WordPress treats it as an error).

    I’m looking at how to avoid this for the next release but race conditions like this in a stateless environment like the web are tricky to resolve.

    As for the Instragram issue it may be a javascript library conflict, which plugin are you using?

    Thank you very much for your prompt response, Greg.

    I will check and see which plugin is used. I forgot to remove the IP address in my initial response, can’t edit it. Would be very garateful if you kindly remove it or let me know how I can do so myself.

    Thank you again for your prompt feedback.

    I can’t edit it either, you’ll have to talk to one of the WordPress moderators.

    But since it’s a non-routable address it doesn’t make much difference.
