Hi. Since the last update of the plugin a conflict has been caused in my woocommerce store meaning the basket is refreshed at point of checkout and so the order is unable to be processed. I found that it was this plug in by performing a conflict test.

Is this a known conflict? If so is there a fix coming in an update soon?

Currently I have the plugin deactivated but would obviously prefer it to be linked to my Mailchimp account

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi there, sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plugin, we definitely want to try to help out. It sounds like there may be a conflict somewhere with a plugin or theme. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?

    – What plugin version are you using?
    – Do you have the ability to run this in a staging environment so we can try to troubleshoot further?
    – You may need to switch themes, or deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and Mailchimp for WooCommerce, and try again. To learn more, hop over to WooCommerce: Fixing Theme and Plugin Conflicts: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
    – Do you see any logging errors in the plugin’s logs tab (when it’s set to standard or debug)?
    – Do you have any caching plugins or services running?
    – Have you tried a fresh uninstall or reinstall?

Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hi

    Please see the answers below.

    – Plugin version – Version 2.4.5
    – I don’t have staging
    – I have already deactivated all plugins apart from woocommerce, my payment providers (as the problem comes when taking payments) in order to fin the conflict and the only plugin that causes a conflict is Mailchimp for Woocommerce
    – I’m not sure what I am looking for in the log?
    – I have W3 Cache running
    – What would you like me to uninstall and reinstall? I have deactivated and reactivated the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plugin

@georgiedavies, ok, with the set up you have let’s do the following:
    – Disable the W3 Cache
    – Completely uninstall & reinstall the plugin

See if you’re still having the problem then and please report back when you have a moment. Oh, and on the fatal logs, just copy/paste them here if there are any.

Hi, tried this and still having the problem.
I can’t see any fatal logs

@georgiedavies so this is kind of throwing us all for a loop right now – because the only time we set the cart contents on a session is when the user comes in through a link that has the mc_cart_id in the request url. This makes me wonder if the W3 cache might be causing this to repeat itself.

Is it that when you go to the checkout page, it does it RIGHT THEN, or is it while they’re trying to pay for the items? This is super strange but we’re going to get to the bottom of it right away for you. Please ping my name when you respond.

@georgiedavies i just checked out the HTML source code on your site, and I see you’re using another MC plugin from a different vendor. I’m not sure if this was “before” or “after” this post, but I just wanted to clear that up that there might be a conflict we need to look into as well during the debugging

@ryanhungate Sorry for the delay, its been a really busy week and as a one woman business I hadn’t had a chance to try and rectify this yet.

Just tried decativating tehe other MC plugin while Mailchimp for Woocommerce was active and the problem is still happening. Cache had been cleared when activating/decativating the plugins.

The exact problem when the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plugin is active is:
    – customer can add products to the cart like usual
    – moves to checkout like usual and can input delivery/billing address etc
    – problem occurs when they try to place payment. When the PayPal option is selected the customer would hit the “Proceed to PayPal” button but error occurs, the checkout won’t proceed and it comes up with the warning that your session has expired. When inputting Credit Card details through the Stripe integration, details can be added but again when the “complete purchase” button is pressed the checkout doesn’t proceed and just bounces to the checkout page again with the warning that “your session has expired”.
    – when the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plug in is deactivated purchasing happens totally fine and successfully as far as I can test (and have had successful orders) but obviously I am losing out on the integration with Mailchimp and purchasing data

@georgiedavies hmm this is really a first. The session expiring sounds very odd but this is one of those situations where we’ll probably need to try to diagnose this in your environment with our own eyes.

If you would like to have me look into things – please add me as an admin and send the email to ryan (at) vextras.com. I’ll see if I can spot something that might be getting in the way.
