I have figured out that Site Kit is how someone is hacking into my site. When I disable Site Kit the ads (on EVERY page of my site) go away. I want to be able use Site Kit. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi there @fhcadmin, thanks for reaching out.

If you setup Site Kit and then connected the AdSense module within the plugin it is possible that ads can be placed on your site, although only once users have allowed the plugin to do so during the setup process. In such cases it’s normal that ads will appear if the AdSense network have approved your site for ads.

If you don’t wants ads placed on your site this is perfectly fine, you can do so while also making use of Site Kit. You just need to change the configurations within the AdSense module, to ensure the plugin doesn’t insert ad code on your site (“Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > AdSense > Edit”). Alternatively you can enable Site Kit once more and then disconnected the AdSense module. If you need any assistance with this configuration or setup let me know and I can provide some further insights.

I’m happy to also check your setup if you’d like to activate the plugin once more and inform me once activated.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above, or please inform me if you decide to enable the plugin and I’ll check for any AdSense snippet on your site.

Hello, I never linked adsense. Only Analytics and search console. I JUST activated it again right now to be sure that was correct and yes, the ads are there if you want to check it out again @jamesosborne . Apologies that I did not get back to this until now. I appreciate the follow up! Kristen

It’s me again! I went ahead and clicked “edit” for adsense (even though it was never activated previously) and there was a “disconnect” which I clicked on. That removed the entire module and viola! the ads are gone. Thanks so much for your help! Now I can continue to use analytics. Appreciated!
