[resolved] Plugin Causes 'Service Unavailable' (3 posts)

    I recently installed MarketPress Lite on my website duenorthaudio.com because I like the way it presented products on one of my other sites. However, when I activated the plugin a few pages on my site suddenly were blank white showing only the text "Service Unavailable". After deactivating the plugin the pages went back to normal. I would very much like to use this plugin and I would have to purchase the premium version for my business. Is there anyway to get the MarketPress plugin working on my site without it affecting my other pages?

    Hi @jeremiahcraig,

    Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

    Could you please share me the page link where you are facing this problem so that i can troubleshoot it?

    Make sure you are using latest version of MarketPress plugin.

    You can just try on your development site deactivating all other plugins and using default WordPress theme like Twenty Thirteen as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/ plugin is conflicting if any.

    Can you please try enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

    define('WP_DEBUG',true);

    You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it's set to true.

    Let me know what errors if any you are getting on the pages facing the issue!

    Hi @jeremiahcraig,

    Browsing through some other threads I happened to notice a similar report here:

    It sounds like you might possibly using an older version of MarketPress that's conflicting with a /services/ slug on your site.

    Is that maybe the case?

    Could you please update the plugin if so?

    If the issue persists, that debug setting should help us get to the issue quickly if you'll let us know what that turns up.
