• I recently tried to install this plugin on a new WordPress site running on PHP 8.1 and received an error message and a mail from the site saying that this plugin was responsible for the error message. I did not dig deeper into the errors but I suspect that this is what happens.

I then went back to PHP 7.4 for that WordPress install and could install the plugin. Afterwards I activated PHP 8.1 again and the plugin still works. So it seems to be the install particularly that is not compatible with PHP 8.1.

This workaround will not work for very much longer, though, since I use hosted webspace and PHP 7.4 will not be available in the future.
