[Plugin: Calendar Archives] using a custom field instead of post date?

I’d like to create an events calendar using this plug in. I like the format and options, but I need to use a custom field instead of post date as the date it appears on the calendar. I have a field in the time stamp format saved as “EventDate” in my custom fields, and have integrated it into other plugins but am having a lot of trouble replacing post date with this field. Any advice on how I can accomplish this? Thanks!
