I agree. This is one of those things that SHOULD be really straightforward and simple. Just display an item from cafepress in a post- no big deal. BUT instead it’s confusing as $%#**. Grrr. Cafepress, puleeze just make us a nice simple intuitive wordpress plugin!
Widget is a total FAIL at this, point, despite being promoted by being linked directly from CafePress.
Affiliate option erases when I click save.
Widget does not display at all in the sidebar.
Just uploaded this widget to server and tried to install it and this is the message I got in Word Press:
Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home8/heartofh/public_html/heartsoffireproject/wp-content/plugins/cafepress-widget/cafepress-widget.php on line 31
Does anyone know how to fix this? Running V 2.7 Word Press (and no, can’t update it because of template).
This is not working, because the API does not support some of the functionality. I have not been able to find any documentation for the widget api.
You can test it by changing the values in the following url:
http://widgets.cafepress.com/api/wordpress/shop/%5Bshopname%5D
or http://widgets.cafepress.com/api/wordpress/tag/%5Btag%5D
but it does not accept additional parameters for the “shop” option.
http://widgets.cafepress.com/api/wordpress/shop/%5Bshopname%5D/%5Bdesignid or tag]
it just displays the last 25 products.
