Is there a way to customize the listing template.
I have Show listings under categories on main page? ticked and I see full listing details including short description and long description on the main directory page. I want to show just the Business name, city and short description on the main page and full listing details when the person clicks on the business name.

Also, I wanted to know how to setup monthly subscriptions as payment option.

Also, I see that an email is sent to the user once the membership (listing) expires. Is there no option to send a reminder that the listing is going to expire in so many days, so that people can renew before expiry.

    Hi nims,

You can customize the look of the listing display vs. the single listing view by going to Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields. You can choose which view(s) a field will display in: Listing, Single, or both.

We don’t have monthly subscriptions enabled yet. That’s on our list to fix. We recently updated to repair broken renew code which was the precursor to that change. We will get to it soon.

Finally, the renew reminder email is another thing we plan to add shortly as part of the update above. It’s not there today, though.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
So that means even if I buy Paypal module, monthly subscriptions will not be possible as of now ?

Regarding listing template, I wanted to know how do I change the looks and feel. Is there any template file that we can customize ?

Lastly, is there an option where we can customize what should be displayed for paid and non-paid listings. Like, I want the phone number to be published for paid users and not for free users. At present a new listing fee options only control the number of days and number of pictures.

    Hi nims,

Yes, that’s correct–the PayPal module will not help that until we enable it in the module and plugin both.

For customizing the templates, I would suggest starting here with this article:

Finally, for the paid vs. free listings, images and length are the only things you can control but we are actively working on changing that so you can have fields available for paid that are not on the free listings. Stay tuned on that one.
