    Hi there,
I had a hacker on my site yesterday, so I started a flurry of updates and uploads of security plugins.

I’m now using 3.3 and have an MU site.

When I first uploaded the plugin all was well, but I wasn;t sure if I needed to do the settings for the plugin on each of my mu sites.

So I did all the settings OK on my main site, then thought I’d best redo them again on the sub site. I went to bed thinking all was OK.

Today I’ve had to spend the day investigating a problem where one of my scipts was looping…

We have conducted a thorough investigation which showed that one of your scripts loops and spawns too many processes. The script that loops (i.e. references itself) is:

    /home/DIRECTORY/public_html/wp-content/themes/index.php

For additional information please review the server logs below:

    184.154.229.14 – – [19/Dec/2011:15:33:52 -0600] “GET /SUBSITENAME/wp-content/themes/index.php HTTP/1.1” 301 5 “-” “PHP/5.2.17”

I’m getting some great support from the guys over at WP-MU, but I’m getting errors with the plugin I cant get around – so I was hoping to manually remove it and undo its changes so I could further investgate where the problem lies.

Can you tell em what I need to do to remove it? Thanks

You simply need to delete the .htaccess file that is in your website root folder.

Please read the help info for MU in BPS if you are going to use it. It clearly states that you should not Network Activate BPS and also that you ONLY want to activate BulletProof Mode on your primary site and NOT your sub sites. These are the only 2 things that are different then a Standard WordPress installation. Thank you.
