• Good evening all. I had a brief search of the forums and quite sure this hasn’t been asked. If so, could a mod please delete.

I’m experimenting with online courses – in tandem with existing offline, in-person classes/courses – trying to bridge the gap between the two.

I am willing to source/pay a developer for an add-on or help with the following scenario – explained in non-tech terminology:

Students come to class/training session (offline world)
Learners sign up (or are registered manually) and given access instructions.

Learner groups are assigned (via roles) with the trainer as group admin: e.g. Business French course (15 students) with trainer ‘John’.

On completion of offline class – trainer logs into platform (wordpress backend) and ‘releases’ newest lesson (in the form of a post) to only those who attended the lesson.

Options to release the lesson (post) immediately or at certain time, e.g. 1300

Learners receive email notification (immediately or at certain time) that their lesson is now ready and instructed to log in (link in email)

User accesses their lesson and follows the steps – with the option to notify the trainer when they have completed the work.

Using a mix of existing plugins – Buddypress, user roles, hidden content and newsletters – could this be put together with some extra help from a developer?

    Thanks in advance.
