Right, I managed to get back in by moving the directories containing:

    • BuddyPress
    • Buddy Press Private Community
    • BuddyPress Privacy Component (BP Privacy, BP_Authz, or BPAz)

to a temp dir, which disabled the plugins.

I got back in, but when I tried to reinstate them all, one by one, found that, with Buddy Press Private Community disabled at least I can go back to my WP login page and get back in.

With it enabled, I just go ’round in circles to the same message page from FF:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I need privacy for the forums, they are for the Trustees of a small charity’s management committee, so they can hold meetings online.

Any ideas what’s going on and how I can sort this out?

    Many thanks for your time.
