• I’m just setting up and experimenting with a WP/BP site.

I just put a new post in one of the groups (explaining the group), and I wanted to make it “sticky” like my first post on the main site page. As I wrote the post, I realized that posts in Groups don’t offer the same editing functions that posts on the main page do, like WYSIWYG, visibility, categories, and the option to make a post sticky. I can’t even see the Group post when I go to Dashboard | Manage Posts — only the sticky post on the main page shows up in the list of “All Posts”.

Is this a problem with my set-up, or does BuddyPress manage group posts in a separate part of the database from other posts, so they can’t be managed or edited with any of the standard tools? (If that’s the case, it’s a major problem with BP.)

(Oh, the post was actually in a subgroup created with the “BP Group Hierarchy” plugin — that shouldn’t matter but perhaps it does…)

    Thanks.
