 * Ive installed Buddypress, but if I click on any option, such as “activity” it
   attempts to go to a page that does not exist, and I get a 404 page not found
   error.
 * If I hover over “profile” for example, it wants to look for [http://cupatriots.com/member-2/Bruce](http://cupatriots.com/member-2/Bruce)
   This link does not exist. This is true for registration or any other selection
   I make.
 * What have I not done, or need to do? Please help!

 * [@wired68](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wired68/) after activating BuddyPress,
   you need to configure the settings.
    If BP is installed in a single WP installation–
   [https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/](https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/)
   If BP is activated networkwide (multisite) – [https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-buddypress-for-multisite/](https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-buddypress-for-multisite/)

 * [@mercime](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mercime/), I have followed the
   instructions, created all the pages etc that Buddypress needs, Activity, Activate,
   Members, Groups and Registration. However still no joy. None of the selections
   in the menues work. It’s as if something is completely missing.
 * I have deactivated and reactivated Buddypress, uninstalled it completely and
   reinstalled it. But each time I do this I notice all of my pervious settings
   would be back. It’s not a fresh install. Is there a cache that needs cleared
   before reactivation?

 * [@wired68](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wired68/) I see now where your
   problem is. BuddyPress requires “pretty permalinks” and not those almost pretty
   permalinks where you add index.php after your domain name.
 * There are tutorials on how to reconfigure your IIS settings to generate the permalinks,
   but as Otto mentioned here -> [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/permalinks-not-working-with-godaddywindows?replies=10#post-5908326](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/permalinks-not-working-with-godaddywindows?replies=10#post-5908326)
   try to change to a Linux hosting in GoDaddy.
