    Wow ok Support would be great i have enabled this plugin on the new version of WP and get this error when activate :

    Fatal error: Class ‘BP_Group_Extension’ not found in /…/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-kaltura-media-component/bp-media-group.php on line 5
    cause error leads to
    class BP_Media_Group_Extension extends BP_Group_Extension {
    so I have tried changing the /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups permissions to true and created my own file called BP_Group_Extension to see if that might help with this in it
    * Custom Group extension
    class BP_Media_Group_Extension extends BP_Group_Extension {

    function __construct() {
    // required
    $this->name = sprintf( __( 'Media', 'buddypress-media' ));
    $this->slug = BP_MEDIA_SLUG;
    // optional
    $this->visibility = 'private';
    $this->enable_create_step = false;
    $this->enable_edit_item = false;

    function display() {
    global $bp;

    if ( 'upload' == $bp->action_variables[0] ) {
    // load create group media template
    bp_media_locate_template( array( 'groups/single/media-upload.php' ), true );

    } else {
    // load group media list template
    bp_media_locate_template( array( 'groups/single/media-list.php' ), true );

    // function widget_display() {
    // return;
    // }
    bp_register_group_extension( 'BP_Media_Group_Extension' );

    but im not having much success has anyone found or created a solution for this problem it`ll be great to hear from you or even better post the solution here for the many of us using the new version of WP to gain access to a working plugin thanks a bunch

    Ive just installed this plugin but I don't active plugins until I have looked at them. But with this, it just crashed my dashboard straight away without even activating it. Do not download this plugin if you havent already.

    A complete waste of time. Sorry, coders, but it's been doing this for weeks and no one has made a move to correct it. While I appreciate that it's free (and no, I can't do better), it's also something that doesn't work and it hasn't been fixed in four months.

    Does anyone know of an alternative plugin?

    Looks like this has been rolled into the BP Media Component plugin.

    "BuddyPress Media Component with KalturaCE is no longer supported. Instead, an independent version is available as BuddyPress Media Component."

    However, as a general reference, whenever you see this message in BP related classes, it means BuddyPress hasn't been loaded yet. To write a plugin that relies on BuddyPress, you must make sure the plugin code loads after BP has loaded. The standard way to do this is to make a loader.php file containing the following:

    /* Only load the plugin functions if BuddyPress is loaded and initialized. */
    function bp_media_init() {
    require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/bp-media-group.php' );
    add_action( 'bp_init', 'bp_media_init' );

    This way you'll know that bp_init has happened and BuddyPress is up and running.

    Please use latest version here - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/

    We already marked - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-kaltura-media-component/ as outdated and unsupported.
