    First I tried disabling all the non-buddypress plugins and I still have the problem

    The first problem that we have is that the plugin does not read the current settings. For example I am configured to receive "all email" for a group but when I go to to "Group Email Subscription" admin page it shows me as set as "no email".

    The second issue which is probably related to the first one is that even after changing settings they do not stick i.e. if I change a user to all email it's still shows as no email.

    Lastly a symptom that may help you identify the problem is that when I reload the page I get a "sorry there was an error" message.

    All help would be greatly appreciated!

    I found the issue you have to use the front end interface and not the group user management plugin.
