• Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to test this plugin with WordPress 2.9.2, but in all of my tests with WP3.0 + BP 1.2.x, nothing shows up under the ‘Group Custom CSS’ section of my groups. I see ‘Save changes’ (pressing it does nothing) but the rest of the page is blank. None of those selectable themes I see in the screenshots.

Awesome idea and work though, I’m greatly looking forward to playing with this plugin 🙂 It’s a great step towards more unique types of groups.

Try again now with 3.0.1 – I juuust tested it, and it seems to work.

Tested the latest 0.8.5 version. The plugin still behaves very oddly with WordPress 3.0 + BuddyPress 1.2.5.2. I’ve tried it under different plugin environments, with several BP plugins installed and active, as well as none installed nor active. Still outputs the same odd result:

Without the theme options and now these sample users here, I dare say it looks even weirder than before now =P I’ll see if I can get a 2.9.2 test set up today to see if this is truly a 3.0 problem or something inexplicably wrong that I keep doing.

Missed your reply rustybroomhandle. I tested again with WP 3.0.1 RC + BuddyPress 1.2.5.2 + Group CSS 0.8.5. Unfortunately there’s no change.

Edit Judging by your screenshots, it appears there’s supposed to be a simple settings page for group-css. Could you give me the URL for that one please? I certainly can’t figure out where I’m supposed to find it. I think the problem might be that I haven’t allowed preset themes through the settings.

Ah yeah, go to your Dashboard and find “Group CSS” under Settings. Just enable the bits you need and hit Save.

I’ll move that menu to a submenu of “Buddypress” soon. It’s down in Settings for the moment because of a bug that existed in an earlier version of BP.

The behaviour you are experiencing is due to the options not being saved, and I don’t create any default options. I guess in future versions I will set all the defaults upon plugin activation. 🙂

You see that’s why I asked for the URL, because I plain can’t see the settings tab for Group CSS.

If the upgrade will take you a while, please share the direct URL for Group CSS settings in the backend, just like:
    wp-admin/options-general.php?page=link-library.php
(I’ve already tried many variations of group-css and such with many different link structures)

    try: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=buddypress-group-css/bp-group-css.php

    Thanks. Unfortunately I receive:
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I can provide you with an admin login to one of my test sites if you’d like. I can be contacted at e -dot- soghe at gmail.com

Update: I believe the bug was found and will be fixed in the next version release.

    Jolly good =)
