Is there anyone who can help me with changing my site back to the way it was. The header is also changed, and the width of memeber activity pages has narrowed. This might be the default in the child theme that I am using.

    Help.

Duplicate tabs probably means that you have some links hardcoded in your theme’s header.php. Go into that file and remove the hardcoded tabs, or alternatively, remove the wp_list_pages() chunk.

The width issues, etc are CSS based. As a child theme of bp-default, you may indeed be inheriting a few styles that changed in the update; you can override them by adding the correct styles into your child theme’s stylesheet.

    Thanks Boone.

I am tired of messing with it. I deleted all the BP themes except the BP default.

Now, the “create an account” is gone from my homepage and is only on a few other pages. Most of the other negative effects are gone now. The members who did not upload an avatar used to have one generated for them, now that is gone, as well as the avatars I picked for my groups and forums.

I also had to delete 146 users who I have never seen come through my e-mail notificatioins for new members??????? What is going on???

It really seems as if BP is not for the novice.

Is there anyone from BP out there, or is this just a waste of my time. I had a nice looking and funtioning site unitl I hit the “update”.

Any help is appreciated. I really do not want to go back to Google or purchase a Ning product.

I have worked out some more of the bugs in my site. One that I am have not figured out is the activity page is showing the creation of a “new post” when I am only editing the page.

I have had to edit a few pages to adjsut the colors to the BP default, and now the edits show up as “created a new post” in activity.

Is there a support forum that is for BP help? A place for a basic site owner to ask simple questions and get simple answers?

I regret putting my url on this thread. That was a mistake. If it is possible, please remove it. At this point I don’t want any more visitors.

    Mercime,

Thanks. I have almost fixed everything. For now I will continue to use the BP default theme.
