    To the best of my knowledge it doesn't auto-scale, it's been a problem for me for a while, users have to be sure their images are not too big:(

  4. Hey PeeJii.

    I've just installed and been testing this plugin. Just to confirm, does this only happen when you include an image url. Or when you upload an image?

    I could replicate this issue on image URL but just wanted to confirm. I'll bring this to the developers attention. :-)

    I'm not sure about Peejii but when I browse and upload an image to an activity post, the image remains full size. I didn't even know it would take an image url, so I never tried.

  6. I've e-mailed the developer of this plugin so he will be aware of the issue. I'll post back once I know anything unless of course he does first. :-)

  10. Hey PeeJil.

    Was the kitten photo not uploaded? That looks to have been embeded as a thumb.

    I've notified the developer on this and he is considering potential solutions.

    Thanks.

    I stopped using bp for the time being, not sure if the issue has been correted since.

    looks like they just did an update for the plugin, is it still embedding original file sizes?

    Nope you can now control the upload sizes!

    Via the new Instructions:

    you can also set your preferred thumbnail size separately from your default thumbnail size settings, if you wish to do so. You can do that by adding this line to your wp-config.php:

    define('BPFB_THUMBNAIL_IMAGE_SIZE', '200x200');

    Where "200x200" are width and height (in that order), in pixels.

    Finally, be sure to verify your default sizes for embedded media. It's in Settings -> Media -> Embeds -> Maximum embed size

    Limiting photo uploads

    You also have the capability to limit photo uploads by users. Upon first install the limit will be set to 5. However you can change it to anything you like by adding something like this to your wp-config.php: define('BPFB_IMAGE_LIMIT', 5, true);

    So, for an example, to increase the image limit to, say, 10, you would add this to your wp-config.php:

    define('BPFB_IMAGE_LIMIT', 10, true);

    To remove limits entirely and allow unlimited number of images to be shared, just set it to zero, like this:

    define('BPFB_IMAGE_LIMIT', 0, true);

    @deepbevel,
    I am not sure if that will fix the issue you are facing where in the images doesn't fit to the page. It doesn't seem to be working in my case. But when you have some time, please give it a try and let us know if it does fix the issue.

    I assume you also set a limit for max embed in media settings? I'll be trying again but it may be another month before I revisit that project. I'll let you know if it worked.
