I added the drop-down menu plugin and it took away all formatting of my site – basically the theme is no longer appearing. Please help!!
site is http://www.classichomeimprovements.ca
When I look at the theme it still shows the site properly, but on the actual website it is all over the place!
Have you tried deactivating the plugin?
Also I note you are using a cache/minifier plugin – that could be the cause.
Yes I deactivated the plugin.
I am not sure what the cache/minifier plugin does. How would I check that?
I do see these messages at the top of my screen.
The Object Cache add-in file object-cache.php is not a W3 Total Cache drop-in. Remove it or disable Object Caching.
W3 Total Cache: Default settings are in use. The configuration file could not be read or doesn’t exist.
That means there’s an issue with the W3 Total Cache/addon plugin in that settings are not configured correctly or there’s a conflict somewhere.
Try deactivating the W3 Total cache plugin to see if it resolves the issue – if it does then you might want to check in the plugins forum for solution on the issue – http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/w3-total-cache
Is this the cache issue that you said might be affecting the template?
That is correct – the stylesheet isn’t being loaded correctly.
Is this the cache issue you think might resolve the issue?
Thank you so much – it fixed the formatting of the site. Now do I need to re-install the W3 plugin or should I just leave it? I was trying to create dropdown menus but apparently this is not possible with a plugin. How do you suggest I proceed?

Unless you can configure it correctly I’d suggest leaving it!
As for the dropdown menu, does the theme not facilitate that? You can always ask the developer to assist you with any theme issues.
