Support » Plugin: Woo Shortcodes Kit » Plugin breaks the login to WooCommerce My Account Page

  • Resolved trafficgenie

Hey there, I downloaded this plugin because it helped me resolve my issue of needing to hide products from the cart. In that regard, it worked great! Thank you!

However, when the plugin is active, it breaks the login to the account page.

When I go to login with the plufin active, it redirects to a blank white page. Refreshing the blank white page, then takes me to the account page as it should be displayed.

While the Woo Shortcodes Kit plugin is deactivated, this problem goes away.

I love what you’ve done with this plugin and how easy it was to solve a few issues I was running into.

Any ideas what may be causing this white screen bug to happen when I go to login?

It can be tested currently using these credentials:

    username: testaccount
    Password: testaccount

Thank you so much for your help. 🙂

    Hi trafficgenie!

The first of all thank you for use Woo shortcodes Kit and for your beautiful words! =)

I have checked your web and know exactly what is happening.

The first of all, the login shortcode can be Enabled or Disabled from the Woo Shortcodes Kit “settings page”. Just need go to the section CUSTOMIZE THE SHORTCODES and look for the box called “Enable for display Login form”.

This function have too a advanced option for make the after login redirection, so you will need to put there the page slug where you want make the redirection (In the most cases is the account page slug).

But this is not the method to fix your issue…

Is very important know that the Build my account page shortcodes need stay in the my account page and are not compatible with the default WooCommerce my account shorcode, because Woo Shortcodes Kit work with the same endpoints.

So the first of all you need make a custom my account page from zero or remove the WooCommerce’s default my acount shortcode.

The second that you need go to WooCommerce’s settings > advanced and check how the WooCommerce’s account page your custom page. (save the changes)

Now you need to know that the login form shortcode and the others shortcodes must be in the same page.

How to make the restrictions? Woo Shortcodes Kit help you to solve it, just need go to the ADD LOGIN SECURITY & RESTRICT CONTENT section and enable the functions:

Enable for restrict custom content for non logged in users
Enable for restrict custom content for logged in users

and if you make click in each box you will see the shortcodes that you need to use to restrict the content.

So for example you can do something like that: (copy all in your custom account page, with your editor in HTML mode)

<!– This is the content for the non logged in users –>
    [off]<h3>Hello!</h3> <br />[woo_login_form] [/off]

<!– This is the content for the logged in users –>
    [wshk]<h3>This is your account page!</h3> <br />[woo_myorders] [/wshk]

With that you will get in the same page the login form only for the non logged in users and will make the after login redirection to your same account page displaying the Orders lists because the user will be logged.

If you have some builder to make your pages, can use too, but need to know that you need to put always the restriction shortcodes and check if your builder dont delete it when get out of the HTML mode.

Normally im making the custom account pages with builders like Visual composser and is working all great.

For other hand in the next days i will launch a premium addon with a install & configuration service to let build your custom account with a method more easy.

While if you need help i can configure it in your test web if you want, just send me the credentials for access by email:

The problem have a easy solution so dont care about Woo Shortcodes Kit, it will follow helping to your shop.

I hope that this comment can be helpfull for you.
