I have the problem and I found out the one causing this problem is the Add Event button on the wordpress editor. So as a workaround, I unchecked the Enable EventSpot Integration option on Constant Contact and the insert url was working again.
I hope they will have a fix for this soon.

Would have been nice to hear from the Plugin developer on this. I guess they are too busy to help existing users with bugs in the Plugin.

It is unfortunate that there has been no developer comments on here, I’m sure some users actually need the EventSpot integration.

Hi. I am also having this issue – was going to write to the developer. Hyperlinks are not working anywhere on WP while this plugin is activated.
Unfortunately do not have EventSpot on my Constant Contact account so I just get an error message saying I don’t have access when going to the “Events” setting.
Would love a real fix to this.
Thanks, this solved a related problem I was having. Looks like it might be related to many other editor problems. I am using version 3.16.
Suggestion: Make EventSpot unchecked by default?
@megart04 have you found a solution? I am having the same issue in that my link functionality is no longer working. Like you, I don’t have the option to unchecked the Enable EventSpot Integration option.

Had the same issue. Unchecking EventSpot fixed it for me too. Sure would be nice if the developer would fix this. It took me over an hour to narrow down the culprit.
The enable EventSpot is on the Plugin Settings page (Constant Contact > Constant Contact).
Just did the same thing for a client. 2 months later… no fix, just tumbleweeds.

YES there is a fix to this I found in another thread.
On the main constant contact page you will see that
Enable EventSpot Integration is automatically checkmarked.
Uncheck this and your issue should resolve itself.
