Which plugin exactly… can you provide a link? I can’t really guarantee that my plugin will work with every other plugin out there. If I have a chance I might be able to take a look and determine where the problem is coming from.

So far the best I can tell is that the sub-items need to have the same status as their parent menu item. Or at least you can’t set the parent item to show for logged in users and then not set the child items to show all the time. Without the parent item, the markup gets busted.

I don’t know if that is your issue, but verify it. If so, I’m not sure if there’s a way for me to improve that on my end.

This was really helpful to me. I was having the same issue with drop down menu, but only in IE (which my company makes the default browser). Worked great in Firefox and Chrome. Anyway, adding the checks to all of the sub-menus solved the problem.
    Thanks,
    Debra

As of version 1.6.0 this is no longer required. If a parent item is hidden, all its children will be hidden automatically.
