• I noticed this for the first time this morning. I do not want the podcast player to appear on the homepage, but it still does even when I place the shortcode under the more-link. Here is the link to the podcast page: http://www.beachedmiami.com/2011/03/10/podcast-9/ The excerpt is currently on the homepage (beachedmiami.com) but will get pushed to the second page soon. If you find it, you will see that it displays the Blubrry player even though the shortcode is below the more-link. Thoughts?

Another issue: my Facebook Like button shows up above the Blubrry player in the excerpt, even though it shows up below it (as is proper) on the post page.

Finally, is there an option to not display the “open in new window” and “download” links. These are great features — I am just curious how much control I have over them.

Actually, see the identical issues described above at the following links.

Here is the post page: http://www.beachedmiami.com/2011/02/24/podcast-7/

Here is where you can currently find the excerpt: http://www.beachedmiami.com/page/5/

Thank you for any help on these issues!

Many of the questions you ask are already answered on http://forum.blubrry.com. I will give quick answers though…

    1. Under PowerPress Settings > Media Appearance tab for setting “Display Media & Links”, select “disable”. From then forward, player and links will only be added if the shortcode is present.

    2. Facebook like button is added differently to post content and post excerpts than PowerPress adds player. The answer 1 above should fix the problem, but an explanation is that PowerPress is most likely adding to your excerpts as well, which you can also turn off in Media Appearance settings.

    3. Yes, same tab “Media Appearance” go to option titled “Media Links”, and check/un-check what you want. You can also control these on a per-episode basis, go to PowerPress > basic Settings tab and for the “Podcast Entry Box” setting, check the options you want/do not want.
