# Plugin blocks the N key

   When I activate the plugin and I want to write something in a page in the
   Gutenberg editor, the N key does not work anyomre.If I deactivate the plugin,
   the key works again.

 * Thank you so much for reporting this! You just solved a massive mystery for me.
 * I was actually wondering why the “N” key on my own keyboard suddenly seemed to
   stop working, and I couldn’t figure out what was causing it. Your report made
   the lightbulb go off immediately.
 * To allow users to quickly create a new folder, I registered a keyboard shortcut
   using the “N” key. However, because of a scoping oversight in my script, that
   shortcut is capturing the “N” key globally across the entire WordPress admin 
   panel, including right inside the Gutenberg page editor blocks!
 * As a solo developer, catching these kinds of contextual conflicts is incredibly
   helpful. I am jumping into the code right now to restrict the keyboard shortcut
   so it _only_ listens when you are actively inside the PixelVault media interface,
   freeing up your keyboard everywhere else.
 * I will push this fix out in the very next update. Thank you again for your sharp
   eye and for helping me fix this!

   for reporting this, and for the precise detective work (activate = broken, deactivate
   = fixed). That’s exactly what pinned it down. 🙏
 * You were spot on: our “New Folder” keyboard shortcut (“N”) was firing on the 
   editor screen and swallowing the letter. It’s now limited to the Media Library
   screen only, so typing in Gutenberg, Elementor, and Divi is completely unaffected.
   The fix is live in **v1.1.4** – please update.
