    I’ve been trying unsuccessfully for about three hours to get an email to go through to an outside gmail account.

    I’m working at for development and testing.

    I get no error messages, always a confirmed green bar shows up, but when i check the inboxes that the emails are supposed to be going to, nothing happens there. I’m not getting anything relayed from the contact form to the email inboxes.

    I’m assuming there’s some sort of disconnect, but I’ve set up the contact form to hit three email addresses in an attempt to test, and still nothing.

    I disabled Jetpack in case this was a problem, still nothing.

    Have you checked the spam folder in the destination mailbox? When the form submits without any error messages the emails are added to the server’s outgoing email queue. If the email addresses are on the same domain as your server but hosted on lets say Google you have to make sure that the server is aware of that and is not trying to handle the delivery of the emails internally.

    No spam in the spam folder.

    I’m a bit new to this, but I’ve tried two different email serivces, hotmail and gmail. Neither worked.

    I’m assuming that my hose server might be trying to handle them internally at this point.

    What could I do to change that? (Sorry, newb here, I’ve never had this problem.)
