# [Plugin: Better WP Security] site not working

 * Hi,
    i installed the plug in. now my site runs very slow. i have installed the
   development version, no luck. i have tried to disable other plugins, it says 
   wordpress failure notice. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Please Try Again.
   I try again. It takes me back to the plugin menu. I have tried to deactivate 
   your plugin, same thing. My site is stuck. It does not want to do anything. I
   downloaded my htaccess file to see if it is modified, but it seems like it is
   still the same as I have written it. Not sure what to do, but when I try to do
   anything, it literally takes over 5 minutes to load a page. Never had this issue
   before. Please help, thanks.

 * a bit more detail. i have the latest version of wordpress installed 3.4.1. also
   the latest version of the plugin. i can’t deactivate any plugins. it just gives
   me that error mentioned above.
    it is weird that the site is just running so 
   slow. it seems like it is trying to find something but it just having a hard 
   time.

 * I get to the system tweaks and uncheck all of them. once i choose save it save
   Security error!

 * I would be willing to bet it was the file change detection hitting cpu caps. 
   This isn’t all that uncommon on shared hosting as the feature simply takes a 
   lot of ram and cpu.
