Support » Plugin: iThemes Security (formerly Better WP Security) » [Plugin: Better WP Security] Fatal Error

  • Installed a few days ago and was fine. Today, after checking for comments, I went to the status page which said “You are not requiring a secure connection for logins or for the admin area.” I clicked on the fix link, enabled it and entered administrator from the drop-down box and saved. Now my site doesn’t load and I get this message when typing in my URL: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home8/newinfos/public_html/symptomsofdiabetes/wp-blog-header.php on line 14.

When entering my wp-admin URL I get this message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /home8/newinfos/public_html/symptomsofdiabetes/wp-admin/admin.php on line 32.

  • This has been resolved, all is okay now.

There is issue with Better WP Security Version 2.4. My site is says that “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

And its still down. The plugin is locking the admin from accessing the admin area.

    Did you find some solution.

Don’t know if this will work for you since I had a different error message, but it can’t hurt.

    My solution was found at:

It is the entry posted by kathycac.

    Hi Bnesh52,

I have exactly the same problem as you had. Like wp-blogheader.php on line 14 & wp-admin/admin.php on line 32.

Can you tell me how you solved this? I have a mayor problem because of it with two websites.

    Please let me know.
