    Hello,

I have just installed Better WP Security.

However the database is not sent to my email.

    What to do?

    Thanks

I'm experiencing the same issue here. I'm also not getting file-change notifications.

Does somebody know how to solve this?

    Thanks!

Thanks for a great plugin but I have the same issue - no backups sent to my email..

As I am using GMail for my domain I was not receiving any email at all and so used "Configure SMTP" plugin. All email is now received with the exception of the WP Better Security Backup.

  4. Does your email have restrictions on file attachments or attachment sizes?

    Same issue!!??
I have Better WP Security plugged into all 6 of my sites.
    5 work great.
Only one will not receive Security Back up.
Has anyone figured it out yet?

  7. Can you check the permissions on the backups folder in the better wp security directory. I'm wondering if perhaps it can't write to that folder.

The back up is being written to the back up folder. But it is not emailing it to me.
I have an 'email log' plug in that says it was sent, but I do not receive anything. I changed my email within the Database Backup section but I just never receive anything. I double checked any issues with my email and can't find any. I do not know where these files are drifting off to.?

    Thanks for the follow up.

  9. Interesting. I will see if I can't recreate the problem.

The permission is set to 777

In the folder is a index.php and a .htaccess file.

Same problem here, Im using Dovecot.

I received the mail, but it has no attachment.

  12. What host are ya'll using? I've had 2 folks now who's hosts had changed policies which was causing the issue.

    I'm hosted on Site5.

One thing that is quite interesting is if you have it set to send backup by email and then click the manual create backup link - it sends me a backup to my email address... but what is not working is the scheduled backups by email..

this small bug aside I still gave your plugin 5 stars.. it is otherwise rock solid.

I'm having the same problem of getting the e-mail but no backup file. I host on a VPS and have not made any changes to make it stop sending the files. Hope this can be figured out...

  15. Thanks @JonnoPrice that does give me a lead to look at.

@birdo what are your email logs telling you? Does it show the attachment there? I'm wondering if your SMTP might be filtering it out.

Same problem here: manual backup works great with email and DB attach. But once the schedule backup doesnt work...

I'm on Hostmonster and use your plugin vers. 3.4.4, any idea? Folder get the write permission and db (create manually when sending email) are in place. So dont think to a permission problem. More a bug.

Do you have a cronjob I can add to my panel?

    Regards, Dom

Auto or manual backup doesn't work for me either. I receive an email with nothing attached. I think it must be a permission thing as I do remember getting an actual backup for one of my sites. All sites are hosted with same firm. If I figure out what's the difference between these site settings I'll advise.
