    Trying to set up BBpress

I used the shortcode to create my own forum page at mysite.com/forum

However, once I go into the forum pages and topics it reverts back to the slugs that are in the bbpress settings.

I’m not sure what to do from here as I want to have my own forum page using the shortcode.

I tried to make my own bbpress.php file by copying the contents of my theme page.php file but I don’t really know what I’m doing or what that does..I read it might fix my problem

    Help please!

    That didn’t work ^
I’m still confused. I decided not use shortcodes as I couldn’t find help with it. So now I’ve setup in the easy way.

But I don’t have a sidebar http://stylereaction.com/forums nor does it look integrated with my site and I don’t know how to achieve the look I want with bbpress? like adding in a background.

    I have simple:press installed here http://stylereaction.com/forum
I much prefer how the page looks with the sidebar but I want to use bbpress
