[Plugin: bbPress Integration] Just isn't integrating…

Everything configured according to deep integration specs instructions from bbpress and PageLines (my theme framework) sites.

Going to /forums/ or a page given that slug does show the forums, but the floating menu bar (whatever it is called – very top of the window) disappears and the forum thinks I am logged out. Clicking the “register” link at that moment results in the message “You’re already logged in, why do you need to register?”.

So, it is as though everything is working, but at the same time, not working.

I’ve checked everything. There are just so many potential issues here I don’t know where to go next after having checked EVERYTHING I can find for documentation.

And one other thing that might be related, bbcode used for formatting in posts isn’t applying formatting. It just shows as plain text within the post.
