[Plugin: bbPress] Fail on Install

    I tried three times to install bbPress. Each time the install goes fine, then when I click “activate” the screen goes white, and nothing else happens. I come out and go back in, and the wp-admin functions are not there – all that appears is a white screen.

    I tried this with two different hosting companies, BlueHost and Hostgator. WP was installed by Fantastico script on both. I tried several times on each. Used the automatic searc h/install on BlueHost, uploaded the zip file on hostgator.

    Would love to use the plug in, but it obviously has issues…. it destroyed the site. I had to COMPLETELY delete and re-install WordPress, and start over again.

    For a completely white screen, with no buttons or titles at all, you should check your error logs to see if there’s a fatal error or another error.
    You also might be able to get the error to show up on the screen if it is hidden from having display_errors set to “Off” in your php.ini file. Edit the php.ini file and maks sure you have display_errors=On and see if the error shows itself to you.
