[Plugin: bbPress] Closing a forum closes the ability to reply to already created topics

Closing a forum in my mind means it should only close the ability for normal users to create new topics not reply to the ones already created by admins. Isn’t that was closing a topic is for?

I agree, any luck figuring out a solution? Ideally, I’m looking for the same functionality as was included in this plugin for the standalone version of bbPress:

I have exactly the same problem. Aren’t there any solutions yet? I would appreciate an orientation, too.
