The plugin doesn’t support geolocation, but I’ll add it to the list of requested features and consider it if enough people ask for it.

    Ok, thanks.

Any update on this feature? It would great to be able to show customers the map based on their current location…

Oh does anyone know of a map plugin that does support Geolocation?

    Thanks…Gary

yes I need it to..please start coding it..

Anyone worked this out yet? I would really like as well

This looks to be ridiculously easy to implement if you use http://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geolite
    http://www.phparch.com/2011/11/geolocation-its-easier-than-it-looks/

Will look to play with this this afternoon as I’ll be implementing it myself. Will let you know what I find.

I’m not going to explain how to setup or install geolocation as that can be found on the phparch.com link. I used Quova as I don’t have credentials to add pear files to the server I am working on. Having said that, please look at the following pastebin to get an idea on how to do the geolocation on page load:

This is at the bottom of my functions.php. Obviously you have to have an include or require to the quova class.

If I remember correctly you have to create a custom page for this using the code <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[bgmp-map]’); ?> to create the map.
