 * I’ve tried to migrate a site to kinsta.com wp web hosting. But unfortunately,
   wordpress-popular-posts plugin is banned ([https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/banned-plugins/](https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/banned-plugins/)).
   The Kinsta support is not willing to allow use of it in live sites, because of
   heavy load (database, resources) on their infrastructure.
    Kinsta support was
   not able to tell which particularly version of the plugin was tested/banned,
   but banned plugins will be retested periodically (no ETA).
 * Are there any plans to have a more gentle version, e.g. which isn’t too resource
   hungry?
 * BTW: on the on-premise LAMP server we didn’t notice any bad effects using the
   plugin (our site doesn’t have heavy traffic).

 * Hi [@vipo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vipo/),
 * Please read here: [Kinsta blacklisting WPP, a follow up](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/kinsta-blacklisting-wpp-a-follow-up/).
 * To sum it up, the plugin already provides features that would allow it to work
   on Kinsta’s servers without affecting performance. I even shared WPP’s documentation
   and suggestions with their IT team, however Kinsta still decided not to allow
   their users to install WPP.

 * Hi Héctor, I also had a dispute with Kinsta regarding the banning. They were
   not willing/able to give an estimate, when a reevaluation will take place. Sad
   about the situation, because your plugin worked so well.

 * Had a similar experience with them back when I reached out to talk about getting
   the plugin off the ban list. Got an answer from them months later (9 months to
   be more precise) so you may be in for a long wait.
 * Please do let me know what the outcome is, if any.

 * There is no outcome/mind shift to be expected from Kinsta. Eventually they will
   reevaluate (no ETA).
    As I have to go forward, I have to switch to another plugin
   in the meantime. I’ve seen you have also authored **Recently** (including support
   for _Top-10_ or _WP-PostViews_ view counts). So maybe I go in this direction.
 * Is there a possibility to export all the data from WP-Popular Posts and have
   the data (csv file) imported into Recently/Top-10?
 * I do not want to loose the collected information.

 * Yeah, that’s what I figured.

 * You’ll need to ask the Top 10 developer about it. I seem to recall seeing a thread
   on their support forum some time ago that explained how to import data from WordPress
   Popular Posts into Top 10.
 * Anyways, I’m marking this topic as resolved for now. Please feel free to leave
   a comment below if/when you hear back from Kinsta.
