Is there something I can change in the plugin code or a SQL command I can run to disable "statistics in blog footer" for ALL sites on a large multisite network without manually visiting the dashboard for all the sites individually?

You probably have it sorted by hand now...

It would be great if the settings.ini file worked with WordPress, but apparently not.
    It is documented here: http://bad-behavior.ioerror.us/category/mediawiki/

A PHP script would have to be written to search all wp_BLOGID_options tables where options_name = bad_behavior_settings and changing "display_stats";b:1; to "display_stats";b:0;.

Another solution (very sensitive too, and also only indicated if you feel confortable manipulating your DB) is as this answer puts it:

A crude (but effective) way of doing it would be to dump the schema into a file, carefully apply the search-and-replace and then re-import.

I checked my database and the only occurrences of display_stats are in the BB option field.
    Again, caution required.
