[Resolved] [Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Suggestion

  • Excellent backup plugin, the best one I have tried, since it works in low memory. It is similar to the backup/restore software I subscribe to with my host, simple and effective.

A suggestion, just thinking aloud … can there be an option to backup the non-SQL parts to be split into about 1GB chunks ? Then it is easier to download, I think. And in case of a need to restore just a few files, we don’t need to download the whole lot.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the suggestion.

BackUpWordPress 2.0 which is just around the corner will add support for multiple schedules so you could have 1 schedule backing up your database, another schedule backing up your uploads etc. That would enable you to split the backup into multiple parts.

Thanks ! Please have an option too for manual backup – i.e. no scheduling

It will be good, my database is only 5MB at the moment and no problem there, the non-SQL is 4GB which takes hours to download.

There will always be the ability to run BackUpWordPress manual only.
