• if I choose to backup db and files, it says theirs 7GB of data to backup (and it takes forever to make the zip file). I cancelled the backup.

NO way is my site this large. a wordpress installation, some plugins, a few graphics and some content? My db size is just 500kb.

I did a download/backup of all my sites files… via (ftp).. folder size is just 28 MB… so why is this plugin saying theirs 7GB of data to backup?

My guess is the plugin is seeing other content in root that I no longer use but is installed in other folders? wp is installed in root…

    Hi macgig,

You guess is correct, BackUpWordPress backs up all files and folders from the root directory.

If there are large files in there that you don’t want included in your backup then you can exclude them.
