the plugin has been working for a while.
but since a few months, it’s just not working.

i’ve tried to use the option to reset the plugin. i’ve triend installing/deleting the plugin.
i’ve tried to deactivate other plugins.

i’ve even changed my youtube profile.

it just doesn’t do anything anymore.

every time i click on “import videos” it says “imported videos: 0”.

  • @mpraetzel – yeah..it’s there after the initial import. I have a few that are enabled. I know your schedule is tight, but I’d be grateful adding you as a user to take a look. I have it set to create drafts and it seems they disappear on auto import. Does modifying the title of the post get in the way way of the plugin? I know changin categories does. I have a main ‘YouTube’ category then I add others accordingly.

How can I help with a validation or dupe check for posts – to prevent the plugin from creating posts that contain the same YouTube ID? I think that would be the least amoutn of work..what do you think?

Not sure what would be removing the meta data. Access to WordPress would help but I wouldn’t be able to solve it without FTP access. Would you feel comfortable with that. Changing categories shouldn’t be an issue in new versions of the plugin.

My best guess to the duplicate posts issues is character encoding or some variation of the value of the ID. So when the plugin queries the database for the ID it searches through UTF-8 encoded YouTube video IDs and may be checking against a UTF-8 value or maybe a ASCII. If they’re not the same encoding this could cause an issue.

This is just a guess. Haven’t looked into it yet.

FTP access is not a problem – you a standup guy. I’m sure I don’t have nothing to worry about 🙂 Shoot me an E-mail [ redacted, support is offered via the forum and not email ] and I’ll add you.

I just erased the Video_ID and manually embedded them until we can fix the issue.
