• The plugin is great, but unfortunately, it changes the audio quality of my embedded files. I have videos with high quality audio (320 kbps) on Youtube. If I play them on Youtube or embed these videos in a page with the Youtube embed code, the audio quality is very high high. However, if I use audiotube with the shortcode, the quality goes down significantly, to what sounds like 64 kbps. It seems that audiotube uses the audio from the quality setting 240p on youtube, which is much lower quality than 360p or 480p.

Any ideas how I could fix that and have audiotube use the audio in 360p quality? Being able to set the audio quality would improve the plugin greatly, I think.

I experimented a bit, and if I add ?hd=1 to the youtube ID in shortcode.php, then the video loads in HQ, but the playbar does not show up properly anymore. Hope this helps… Would really love to have the high quality playback option.

    Hi, thanks for reporting 🙂

Tried to play with the player parameters to no avail…

Also did some tests with the new implementation that Navarr has done but also no luck… the player keeps playing always the same version.

I’ll give another look in this issue in the next version, but unfortunately it cannot be in the short run…
