[resolved] "Date Expects Parameter 2 to be long" (11 posts)

    I installed Assignment Desk and it seems to be mostly working, but I get a series of errors displaying on the page. (http://portlandsportsman.com/?page_id=1819)

    Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /nfs/c02/h10/mnt/25334/domains/portlandsportsman.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 106

    Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /nfs/c02/h10/mnt/25334/domains/portlandsportsman.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 108

    Also, not all the fields seem to be showing up (related?). I'm thinking this is something small I need to fix but I'm stumped. Any help would be really appreciated!

    Hey,

    I'm not sure what the issue is here but you can turn off the error display in php.ini.
    display_errors = off

    There's a settings page in the WP Admin called "Pitch Form". Its under the Assignment Desk menu. You can choose which fields show up in the form.

    We'll look into the date error and hopefully get a fix in 0.9

    I know this sounds lame, but I'm unclear as to how this works from the outside (user view). I have it installed, along with the other recommended plugins. I have part of the site as a website, with pages & etc.. I'm not seeing how to access the pitch pages, etc. as a user..

    Hey Sparklesperson,
    You should check out the documentation on our project website and start a new forum thread if you have further questions.

    Cheers,

    Daniel

    Thanks Erik!

    I edited the php.ini and added the additional fields via the Pitch Form.

    The errors were still there so I did a little testing.

    I made a new page with just:

    <!--assignment-desk-pitch-form-->
    <!--assignment-desk-all-posts-->

    And the errors were still there...

    But when I made a new submit page with just:

    <!--assignment-desk-pitch-form-->

    No errors!

    Then I added the:

    <!--assignment-desk-all-posts-->

    And they came back! So while the errors are there at least I know it's something to do with the all-posts part. I'll keep messing around but I thought I'd update this thread in case that new info gave you any ideas!

    Thanks!

    Hey Mike,

    I just pushed a fix to our repository that fixes the date error you're seeing. We'll release it as part of v0.9.1 this weekend. Thanks for reporting it!

    Hi Daniel,

    That update seemed to do the trick! Thanks!

    But we're seeing Assignment Desk interfere with existing stories:

    http://portlandsportsman.com/hawks-fill-portlands-diaper-with-breast-milk-lose-to-seattle-in-a-shootout/

    http://portlandsportsman.com/the-making-of-a-5-sport-day-or-4-sports-and-1-kind-of-sport/

    I haven't even looked into this yet so it might be something simple, but thought I'd post here in case you'd seen it before.

    Oh, well, I had some drafts and that is what each of those links was posting (even with the full URL).

    I deleted the old drafts and the content returned. I'll update (or start a new thread) id I can reproduce the issue.
