[Plugin: Artiss YouTube Embed] Twitter clouds and amputee robot appear when plugin enabled!

    Ok, so this is the weirdest bug report I’ve ever filed. I’ve been using this plugin for a couple of years now, but tonight I noticed Twitter clouds and four pictures of a robot with it’s right hand amputated appearing at the top of my dash board. At first I thought I’d been hacked; but when I disable this plugin, the clouds and robots go away.

    I suspect this plugin is doing something dodgy when grabbing news from the author’s twitter feed. The Artiss News & Support dashboard widget it installs says:
    Something is technically wrong.
    Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon

    I can disable the dashboard widget, but the clouds and robots remain whenever the plugin is enabled. What’s with that?

    Hi Graham,

    The easiest solution is to disable that dashboard widget – I’m removing it from the next release anyway.

    However, you’re the 2nd person to report this and I’d, ideally, like to get to the bottom of it.

    Could I ask that you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

    It sure is a weird one; it appeared even with all the dashboard widgets deselected under Screen Options. It’s gone now though. I’ll post a screenshot if it reappears- it’s pretty funky!

    I’m about to release a new version of the plugin with the dashboard widget removed anyway.

    The last person who had this had a non-standard WordPress administration panel and I assumed it was to do with some theme or plugin changes interacting badly with my plugin.

    The reason I suspect something third party is that the images you saw are not part (that I can see) of the base WordPress installation.
