    Artiss Twitter Data now fails to work.

    This is due to a URL change made within the Twitter API. That much is fixable but, combined with the new usage rates, I’ve found it almost impossible to get any usable data from.

    Artiss Twitter Data is dependant on the original, easy to access, API that Twitter provided. Unfortunately, they are now moving everyone towards an authorised, more complex system – far too complex for this, simple plugin.

    I am, therefore, regrettably withdrawing this plugin from use. I will leave it in the repository for a short time before asking WordPress to remove it entirely.

    I apologise for any inconvenience that this causes.

    If anybody would like to take over ownership of the plugin then please let me know.

    Important update…

    I think I’ve cracked it and have now got the plugin working again. It needs a lot more investigation to ensure that the newly imposed limits are being reported correctly, though.

    Update…

    Change is going very, very well. Some cracking error reporting now working. I just need to sort out the cache, which needs to be 100% to ensure there aren’t issues with the new rate limiting.

    Version 2.2 has been released – it should fix the issues reported!

    I’ve spent some time on getting the caching just right to avoid issues with rate limiting.

    The API this plugin uses is due to be retired on June 11th – after this time this plugin will definately no longer function.
