• I have a client that is a salon. They have multiple employees who need their own calendar – or at least an option on the front end for the client to select who’s calendar to add the event to. They are also looking for a global view to access all calendars at the same time.(which may result in multiple events scheduled at the same time, though on different calendars) I would be willing to even pay for such an addition.

    Thanks!

    Hi Hrusher,

Just out of curiosity.. I wanted to ask why is that you prefer a wordpress plugin instead of already existing appointment management services…

Is it to do with the price? Or some other reason?

    Cheers,
    Frank

I generally prefer self hosted scripts for any client. Your solution was the absolute perfect solution. I do prefer WordPress plugins more than anything. I’d rather give the client and the client’s customer one central place to make all of their transactions rather than use several systems with separate logins and UI/UX designs.

    Hello Hrusher,

We are currently considering doing a rewrite of complete appointment management plugin

But this time around, we are gravitating towards using a proper MVC Framework to develop a self hosted appointment management system.

Will you have good use for such a system? Your honest response will help us in deciding our future course of action.

    Thanks,
    Ankit

    Ankit,

Its a toss-up with your plugin. It would work great as both a WordPress plugin or as a standalone self hosted script. I believe I would have more options with a self hosted script though. Some existing sites do not use WordPress, so you would be able to reach more users of your script by developing a stable self hosted version. I would even go so far as to suggest you do both. A self hosted option with the ability to brand it would be great!

    Please keep me updated

    Hi Hrusher,

Do you have the script perfectly working and do you maybe know when there will be an update?

    please mail me @ engelbertink@gmai.com

    Thanks in advance m8

I would specialize on wordpress…. Of it’s superb, make it standalone! Get some audience first!

    Hi Guys,

New version coming within 1 week with new and interactive UI, many bugs resolved this time.

    Thanks…

Hi, it doesn’t look like the new system supports multiple user calendars, can the shortcode or code be edited to incorporate an ID [APCAL ID=1] or something like that?

So you could have multiple calendars like some other plugins offer?
