# Plugin and WordPress Updates

 * Hi,
 * I always have problem updating the plugins, every time i click update, my website
   will show under maintenance, and nothing happens, and the updates aren’t success.
 * Same thing with updating wordpress version, although it doesn’t show “under maintenance”,
   it doesn’t really work unless download the version and install.
 * Is there anyway to solve the problem? thanks!

 * Check owner,group and permissions of your wordpress folder.
    If that evrything
   is okay try this set `define(fs_method,'direct');` in wp-config.php
