[Resolved] [Plugin: amr users] Getting Started

  • Hi there,

I need to create a searchable membership directory and this plugin looks great. I have a few questions.

First, How do I import a set of users that have custom fields? For example, my users have 3 custom fields that I would like to add to their profile and then have those custom fields be visible on the directory page. I’m not very clear how user information is stored and I’m not clear if I have to manually append the fields through phpMyAdmin or if WordPress can handle that…

Second, I have three Roles and I’d like to restrict which users are displayed based on their Role. Is this possible? For example, Member, Teacher, Admin I’d like to display ONLY the teachers.

Third, is it possible to allow users to search by any field or are we limited to the LastName?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi
    1) plugin doesn’t do imports
    2) Yes – the included example lists demonstrate excluding administrator role – simply change to other role
    3) Any field

try the plugin out and you’ll see
