• Hi, after upgrading recently, we’re seeing this text in our widgets:

“Events from Posts. this requested feature requires the plugin amr-events”

I see this is being displayed by the “suggest_other_icalplugin” plugin.

Is there a way to disable this notification?

    thanks.

Yes that glitch went into one sorry
It shoul be fixed in 3.0 but that is a huge upgrade so check carefully if you go there .
Messages comes from attempt to check whether you also want events created in WordPress and tries to figure this out from the shortcode . I have since changed that logic.

I will look to see which way it went but for now you could try entering ics= in front of the URL in the shortcode of you do not have that or remove it if you do
    Or just have the URL.

Finally since you know where the code is you could just comment out the message
Hope one of those works for you

    Thanks. I commented it out.

My plugins page says I have Version 2.9.4 installed. BUt, when I go to /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=manage_amr_ical, it says “AmR iCal Events List 3.0”.

    Weird?

Nope – I forget to update version numbers everywhere (the plugin header, the readme and the constant that issues to the screen all need to be the same – will fix asap along with the suggest – it it’s the widget that was unhappy thinking it had to do events from from posts too but not having the code. I’ll tell it to behave itself.
