I would love to run AIOSEO on my multisite install. I’d even happily donate if that would help spur development of proper Multisite integration on. As it is, if I network activate it, I get errors like this, at the top of some of my sites, and a Christmas-green background replacing their normal background:

Updating SEO configuration options in database

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie – headers already sent by (output started at /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/all_in_one_seo_pack.php:569) in /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/si-contact-form.php on line 2075

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/all_in_one_seo_pack.php:569) in /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/si-contact-form.php on line 2075

It would also be nice if there were a network admin setting, that you could set the defaults on all site, and they’d use that until/unless you changed it on the individual site.

Hi @tevya, I was going to install this but then I decided to do a bit of research on the plugin first.

From what I read elsewhere, WPMS is not yet officially supported:

In my sub-domain tests it appears that the current version of All in One SEO Pack isn’t multisite-aware. That being said, I believe if you simply install the plugin from Network Admin and forego network activation then it should be possible to activate the plugin individually from relevant instances in your blogging farm.

Hopefully, this will change in a near future update.

Hey Sebastian, I actually contacted the developers directly through their site…. I was surprised to get a phone call from Michael Torbert himself. He said they run it on several Multisite installs they have and it works great. It appears that mine was actually a small conflict with the Fast and Secure Contact Form plugin you’ll notice is also in the error. He said it was something that should be corrected in that plugin and that he’d reach out to the developer to see if it could be fixed.

That error leaves after visiting the site once, so I’m happily running AiOSEO on my Multisite, without any troubles. Huge props to Michael for personally contacting me. I owe him a donation and/or Pro version purchase….

But for anyone searching for into on All in One SEO Pack and Multisite: YES IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY, especially if you’re not using Fast & Secure Contact Form. Thanks.

    Hi guys,

@tevya, I’m glad I was able to help you out. It’s very important to me to know that people using my plugins are supported and happy with them. 🙂

@sebastian, The author of that post doesn’t give any details about why he believes All in One SEO Pack doesn’t work with multisite, so I’m not sure what the basis of his claim is.
In fact, there are many people and companies running All in One SEO Pack on multisite and it works as expected. If you have any issues on your installation, I’ll be happy to help out. 🙂
